Technicians can share their real-time view with experts in remote locations to get the help they need, reducing travel time and cost.
Remote inspectors can assess product quality without traveling onsite by using Microsoft Teams and collaborating with a Dynamics 365 Remote Assist user.
Rather than communicating instructions via audio call, onsite workers and remote collaborators can use drawings and arrows to refer to specific parts of a machine or asset. These annotations are anchored in the Dynamics 365 Remote Assist user’s space.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Guides is a mixed-reality application for Microsoft HoloLens which gets the job done faster by allowing operators to learn when and where they are needed during workflow. These instruction cards are visually connected to the location where the work is to be performed and can include holographic pictures, videos and 3D models

No need for coding skills to create mixed-reality guides

You don’t need professional 3D or programming expertise with the Dynamics 365 Guides. Start making a guide using the PC authoring app: step-by-step instructions along with pictures, video, and 3D holograms. All you need is the HoloLens app to connect the instruction cards and holograms to the physical workspace after you build the guide on a computer, by picking them up and moving them to the right position.

Dynamics 365 Guides provides heads-up, hands-free, step-by-step instructions during the flow of work, whether employees are doing complex procedures on the job or training away from the production line. Operators control the interface with their gaze, using a glance to move to the next step. Therefore, their hands are left free to do the work. Instruction cards move together with the operator, following them as they move around equipment, pointing to the tools and parts that they need, and showing them exactly how and where to use them. The experience is comfortable and simple to use, and it helps reduce mental processing time, errors, and the need to rely on a buddy system.
